Cheap folding bike

Want to get a folder, but Bromptons are way too expensive for what I need - will be doing 2 days pw, 1.5 miles one end and 4.5 miles the other. Need reasonably priced (say under £600) bike that is pleasant to ride. And which folds reasonably neatly. Ride relatively flat but some gears might be useful.
