Anyone riding / racing the current 2014 model? How do you find it?
I'm keen on one of the 2015 models recently announced but I'm torn between the 8.0 and the 9.0. Only differences seem to be 8.0: 105 groupset, DT Swiss R24 Spline wheels, CX77 brakes; 9.0: Ultegra groupset, DT Swiss R23 Spline wheels, R785 hydraulic brakes. Price difference between the two is £250 which I'm not too put off by, but I am put off by the extra wait for the 9.0 (about 9 weeks instead of 4). By this time it'll be midway into the season and I'll have raced 4 events on my current (single speed) CX bike. Oh and since it has mudguard mounts, I'll also be using this bike for winter road / commuting duties.
The main thing that's swaying me is the hydraulic brakes, and I guess my question is how much better are they than the mechanical option? Are they worth waiting an extra few weeks for?
