Newbie Needing Bike Advice

Hi All,

In June I bought a Boardman MX Comp bike and after riding it now for a few months I just have a quick question about the front forks.

I have noticed this more recently but this could be me observing this more, but when I have been for a ride of say 4+ miles I'm finding that when I release the speed lock the forks rise by 1" inch every time.

I have tested this by, before I go for my ride and whilst off the bike I release the lock and then lock it and every time when I get back after the ride and release the lock it rises again. Firstly is this normal? If not then I can confidently go back to Halfords and get them to change the forks.

    I'd have thought that, that was the function of the fork lockout for when riding on the road, if you are concerned by it go back to Halfords and ask them to check that it is functioning correctly.
