Apple Watch

Biggest surprise seems to be it's not called the iWatch. Looks a bit like an iPod Nano with a strap. Will go for $350 and needs an iPhone to keep it company. Includes a 'Taptic' vibrator that 'enables some entirely new, intimate ways for you to communicate with other Apple Watch wearers'. Any takers?

What, as well as the iPhone 6 :P"Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"

Apple watch....
I won't be replacing my Speedmaster or my Polar or even my Swatch holiday watch.
Too cheap to be a quality item.
Too expensive as a fitness device/cheapo watch that you don't care about losing/breaking
I like Apple stuff, but I can't see me buying it...mind you, I said that about the iPad and I love that. Time will tell, I'm sure there are enough Apple fans that'll make it a huge success.Big Red, Blue, Pete, Bill & Doug0 -
Old hat!! Sony have been making something like this for their phones for a few years. All over priced imo but if that's what you're into then it's out there if you want it.Scott S40 Speedster

If it can work as a HR monitor with my garmin I'll probably buy oneAdvocate of disc brakes.0

Is there not a heart rate monitor that can work with your garmin that doesnt cost £350? Or is it just a deal breaker as such0 -

More of the wealthiest computer related "geeks" in the world use Apple over PC.
I couldn't have built my company on a PC as they didn't have the rendering power at the time.
You wouldn't have seen changes in cinematography without Apple.
Thankfully, now I do have more money than sense but id rather that than be a broke scholar !Living MY dream.0 -
I've heard it said that you can tell a lot about a man by the watch he wears.0

What if he doesn't wear a watch? Too poor or not constrained by time?0

Why does one need a watch? I have a clock in the kitchen, one on the DVD player/decoder wotsit, one on my phone, one in the car, one on the van, one on my alarm clock, there's one on the clock tower in 4 of the places I visit regularly, one on the bottom right of this screen, one on the bottom of the screen of the telly when the news is on Channel...80, no...130, one on my bike computer and I have a sundial which never needs winding up - it's Swiss.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0

Reasons to wear a watch:
- You're outside and you can't be arsed to fish the phone out of your pocket.
- You are an Apple executive and you know if you're photographed without the Apple Watch, or wearing any other watch, someone will post it to Twitter and the value of your shares will fall by 5 billion dollars.
- You are the Gemini Man and your special watch is the only thing that prevents you becoming invisible and eventually losing your molecular integrity, or something.
- No Gentleman is properly dressed without one.
- Something about finding North by lining up the hands to the sun? Or was that moss on trees?0 -

I wear a watch because I like it and think it looks nice. I occasionally look at it to see what time it is. Some watches are just nice things. Saw a bloke on the train the other day with a Philippe Starck watch. It was just a lovely thing, he even said it wasn't very accurate and hard to read, but it looked good.
The apple watch is not particularly nice, it's just a gadget you can wear on your wrist.0 -

Something like that. Or was it the big dipper and the little dipper? I didn't really pay attention in the Cubs.
