Pebble Hill closure

Sorry for starting a new thread on this. There was one on here before but it seems to have dissapeared.

Anyway I am aware that Pebble Hill (close to Box Hill) is closed as of the 8th September for 5 months, but was wondering if anyone knew whether it is possible to go through on your bike?

It is on my normal bike commute route, so I went an alternative way this morning which I didn't enjoy at all.

I know that a few people have been let through and a few have been turned away.

Where do you commute to/from?

I'm Epsom to Crawley, so I have been taking in Box - adds about 7km to the ride, but its a nice route

Cheers for the reply. I go from Epsom to Redhill.
After the initial experience of the A217 I also went via Box, which also added 7km to my ride. Was a far more enjoyable route. Just means leaving slightly earlier which isn't an issue.
Had to drive in today due to illness and the traffic was terrible. Loads more traffic going via Reigate Hill now.

Cycled down there on Sunday morning and could get through no problem, however as it's moving roadworks that could change!
