  • Probably get more responses if you post the specs on here.

My friend has the Orange Crush. To be fair, I'm not a fan. It's kind of hefty - ok for short, sharp rides, but anything longer and it gets a bit of a chore. Even my 29er is quicker getting up to speed.
However, while it isn't fun going uphill, it is great going down.
(The old 26" version felt more of a hardcore trail bike to me - one of our group had the green 2010 model. Certainly more flickable and easier to manual/bunnyhop.)
    2007 Felt Q720 (the ratbike)
2012 Cube Ltd SL (the hardtail XC 26er)
    2014 Lapierre Zesty TR 329 (the full-sus 29er)
  • Thanks, added the specs of both in.
  • Check out a Vitus Sentier 275 VR - was the 2014 Hardtail of the year in MBR and looks very well specced and set up for the grand. CRC only though so maybe no good for ride to work shizzle.
    Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.
  • Does it have to be 650b?

For a grand I think an on one parkwood is very hard to beat, Deore drivetrain, revelations and a reverb. Only "problem" is it's a 29er.

Is this for riding to work? I'd go for a road bike.

My work is only 1 mile away when I need to go there, so just thought I would get a nice hard tail for a bit of variety.
