Just wondering when the switch to 2015 models tends to happen / when we can expect to see the big discounts on 2014 models?

Some retailers are already swapping over- I've been keeping an eye on the BMC range on Evans, and they've started now. However, what discounts have come on are pretty low IMO, and in one case (Ultegra SLR02) the 2015 model is cheaper than the 2014 model.

I expect we'll start seeing the proper discounts once Summer is properly over and we head towards Christmas, and more 2015 stock arrives. It sounds pretty cliche but I'm waiting until the after Christmas sales before going for a 2014 (or 15!) bargain as some retailers have reliably large discounts around then. In fact I bought my current road machine at my LBS during their annual 20% off everything sale between Xmas and New Year.

Thanks. Strange that the 2015 model is cheaper!

Christmas is going to be too late for me; I destroyed my bike on Sunday and as it is only a Trek 1.5, the repair is uneconomical and the replacement frame option would still end up costing me enough because I'd have to upgrade bits as well.

On the bright side I'm using this as an excuse to upgrade!

I do like the look of the Teammachine (105) and the reviews are positive. I can't find them locally though and Evans says stock due end of October, even for the 2014 model which seems strange.
