Well popped on here a few weeks back after rekindling my enthusiasm for MTB's with the intention of tarting up my old Spesh Hardrock...... But being a bloke I have to have cool new stuff so I've gone and built my first full sus bike!!

To this!

Not bad for somebody who had only ever changed an inner tube!!! I blatently stole the colour idea off of here but I really like it. Still got a bit of fine tuning with the layout of stuff. I realise already that I need a stealth reverb, so that's going on next week but first impressions are really positive.

Its getting its first proper outing this wed over the chase!

  • The Mega TR owners club is like a sh1t night club after 11:00pm. One out, one in.
  • Well first ride out tonight. I managed to get the reverb fitted before I went and was very glad I did.

Went for a cheeky 15m ride around N.Yorks Moors. I had high expectations of the bike from all the good things said about em, but to be quite honest I was absolutely blown away by how good it is.

This thing pedals uphill for fun, I mean its effortless.... I start the ride with a 2.5m proper fat hill and its never been as comfortable to climb - but then the fun really starts because point the front wheel down hill and its just an animal. It just gathers speed for fun, I don't think I've spent so much time in the air either! The back end was well controlled and when it did get out of shape it pulled itself back in nicely and the forks are a perfect match for the frame.

I found myself going so fast that I actually made myself jump twice when I realised. I seriously need to spend some time with this bike as I feel a very special bond forming!!!
