Advice please-8 speed cassette on 9/10 wheels

Hi All,

Could you please help me with my query?

I've just picked up a winter hack ( Carrera virtuoso) it has a mixture of 2300 and sora 8 speed parts on it and some rather heavy wheels which I intend on changing.

I have a set of spare wheels ( Giant P-SL1 wheels from my best bike that have a 10 speed ultegra cassette fitted) and I know these will be a massive improvement over the stock wheels but will the 8 speed cassette fitted on the carrera go onto the P=SL1's?

    Shimano patten hubs that are 8/9/10 speed compatible will fit any and the will even work witha 7spd cassette if you fit a 4.5mm spacer first.
