should i buy fulcrum 5's?

Currently using mavic aksiums but can get the 2014 fulcrum 5's for less than £140 - should i?

    Because they are in the same price range, which in a highly competitive market, it means they are pretty much the same thing... unless you need two sets of wheels for any reason, it's only a waste of money

    Cool, I thought aksiums were a lot cheaper? But as I do respect your opinion I will leave and save for a better pair for next summer! Cheers ugo!

    The RRP for Aksium is 220, Fulcrum 5 is 250... OK, the Aksium come with tyres, so say 180... 70 quid difference is not a lot in terms of upgrade these days

    Fulcrum 2014 has gone to 20 spokes and back

    Compared with 2010-2013 24 spokes.

    Used to be a reasonably robust wheel....

    Might be OK if you are as light as feather!.
