Slightly silly, but no harm done. It's useful to have a bell if you're likely to meet pedestrians, so I have one on my off-roader but not on my "road" bike

What's wrong with just locking up the rear wheel and pulling a skid to announce your presence

Apart from being gold (who has anything gold on their bike  ) it looks (when I say looks I do not mean aesthetically) like a nice bell if you are in the market for a bell.
Seems to be a quality item, well made and sounds good (for a bell).

Not sure why it costs £40. I would have waited until the sale 8)

The cycle path I ride often (due to being about half a mile from work) is always frustrating to ride when busy. There's no logic to it what so ever.

    So a bell is a must :D

Still kind of think a cheese burger bell would've been a good option.
  • A bell does not look cool and anyone who disagrees is clearly an idiot.

Never have a bell on my bike, use my voice
