Sneaky Garmin marketing?

50k into my ride my, totally unprompted, Garmin 800 starts beeping at me. A message appears...

"Garmin VIRB camera not found, keep searching?"

I answered no, of course, as I do not have one.

Was this some sort of subliminal marketing?

Had you accidentally gone into the VIRB menu option off the front page? This is the message that comes up when in that page but the VIRB isn't detected.

If not, then its a bug. Or your Garmin thought to itself "great view, I should take a video of this!" ;-)

Definitely didn't select an option. I hadn't touched the thing for two hours.
Couldn't be a bug as we know Garmin is perfect.
Must have been the view. I was passing Carrisbrooke Castle at the time. :D
