Front Brake Pad advice

Hi All
After some ideally 1st hand experience / advice on a decent 'V' Brake pad for my Shimano Sora front brake. I have been running a 'V' Pad on my Sora Dual Pivot road front brake for a while now to give even more stopping power than a traditional pad as I run fixed gear at the back and as such don't have a rear brake in the traditional sense (slowing down with your feet).
My frame is a track frame so I can't fit a rear brake even if I wanted to but that is fine rear fixed is ok.
I have been running a Clarks dual compound 'V' Pad which has been pretty good but is now worn out, I am after something a bit more hard wearing and ideally more powerful. I have used Kool Stop in the past but they all seem to squeak like crazy !
I need advice on a quiet / Powerful and long last 'V' stype brake pad ? Winter is fast approaching so want to be sorted before the rain starts.
Advice Please
