I'm doing the cycling section of the Barcelona Triathlon in a few weeks.

Don't have a road bike so will be doing on the Rockhopper - what's a good tyre to put on my Arch EX rims?

Terradiversions - rent a roadbike off them!
  • try having a look at the schwalbe - kojak, they have pretty good reviews. pretty much full slicks and come in either 1.35 or 2.0. can get them in both wire bead and folding but the folding ones seem harder to find. unsure whether you can run them tubeless if you would want?

as for the 24mm width of your rim, by chance came upon this thread on the forums. viewtopic.php?t=12925234& on there about 1/2 way down page some-one has the 1.35 kojaks on 22mm rims, so if unsure maybe go for the 2.0 tyre??

    hope this helps!

I'd use the Decathlon 26x1.2" really cheap £6.50 here) and very fast rolling, won't cope with a 24mm internal bead but would external width (couldn't be bothered to check).

Otherwise city jet as a 1.5".
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
