    Any stainless steel can rust in the right conditions, and grades with low chromium content can rust just from high humidity (I see this a lot living in a damp part of the world; anyting less than marine-grade stainless steel used outdoors will get rust spots pretty quick). It's only superficial, but it still needs polishing to keep it shiny, unlike Ti which you could leave in the sea and it would still not corrode (galvanic corrosion can be a problem with it, but can be avoided with careful component choice).

    In case you don't believe me, the first hit on Google for "953 rust" is about someone with a rusting stainless steel frame.

    What else would you expect with that search title? As far as Google is concerned, 953 seems only associated with bike frames. If you'd said searching for "stainless steel rust" brought that up as top link now that would've been remarkable
