Ksyrium Elite Spoke Tension Adjustment
Morning All!
i've been trying to work out the source of creaking i've had recently when i'm climbing out of the saddle, and last night i discovered it's my front wheel rubbing on the brakes. a quick pluck of all the spokes has shown that a couple are 'dead' sounding, so have lost tension.
is it safe for me to add a little tension back in to them with the spoke key supplied with the wheels? can i rely on the pitch to ensure i'm not adding more tension than the other spokes have? the wheel is true, but i'm guessing the slack spokes are allowing it to flex more than normal under load.
thanks in advance for your advice!

There are lots of jobs I would do myself, adjusting the spoke tension on my Elites is not one of them.Boardman Elite SLR 9.2S

Unless the spokes are completely slack, spoke tension has pretty much no bearing on wheel stiffness, so I doubt it's that. It's entirely possible those spokes have always been under-tensioned.0

they do seem really slack, they rattle when i pluck them.Canyon CFSL8
