I got a second hand Boardman recently and the outer chainring on the FSA compact crank set is not straight and rubs the front mech when I push down on the non drive crank arm.

The power drive BB is fine.
Can I replace this 50t chainring with a Stronglite ring as cheaper, or does it need to be an FSA? Its a DCB 110

Thanks

About anything with BCD 110 will fit, so yes sir....
  • Before you buy a new 50t ring have a think about your gear ratios. Are your top gears too high and will I ever use them?
If so use this as a chance to give yourself more useful gear ratios.
Instead of a 50t chainring consider something like a 46t instead.
I'm not getting old... I'm just using lower gears......
