I recently bought a Selle Flite Classic 1990 from wiggle and im not sure as to the way it should be installed on the seatpost. I fitted the saddle on my Thomson Elite post , I then put a hardback book on top of it and levelled totally flat using a spirit level. I went out tonight for a test run of 45 miles and I put a fair bit of effort into the ride. Im fairly sure the way I set the saddle up doesn't suit me as my backside felt quite numb after around 20 miles although there were no perineum issues. If somebody has used a flite or currently has one on their bike id be interested in how you set it up, below is a pic of the saddle I purchased.

Nice saddle, I didn’t know they were selling these again. Different saddles often take a bit of getting used to so you might be fine next time out. I always ache a bit after the first ride on my winter bike because I’m not used to the saddle.

I have one that I can't get properly comfy on either. I used one for years, transferring it across bikes and disciplines. Comfy as a sofa. New one just isn't the same (but then I realised how much the front of the old one had collapsed on the rails after all the battering). Feels very rounded in comparison to the Flite C2 I also use. Will have to go and have a look at how it is set.
