Has anybody hired bikes from these guys before ?

They are based in Can Pastilla near the airport. They are just around the corner from where i am staying but their selection of bikes doesnt really inspire me.

Any advice or alternatives much appreciated

If there the ones I think they are then I'd try

http://www.bergantibikes.com/index.php?p=localizacion nice new shop on the front

http://sportbequi.com/bike-rentals otherwise known as the Santini shop

http://www.ciclosquintana.com/ 2 shops and one is a street or 2 behind sportbequi.

There is somewhere along the El Arenal front that does Cervelo and other posh stuff but I can't find there web. There owned by a scandi of some flavour, just off the front on street still in view of the sea and you go down into a bike cave, not as fas as sport bequi from memory.
If your going now I doubt you'd need to book as its still a bit hot.

+1 for Berganti, a proper bike shop.Very good bikes and service and just around the corner from the hotel Java where we usually stay. You can pre book online if you want and if bike is not what you want or doesn't fit they will change it no probs.Check out there clothing sale rail, some good stuff on there sometimes.Further along towards Arenal just off the front is sunshine bikes run by Raphael. All bikes we've ever had over last few years( we go every October for 4 days..only 6 weeks to go !!) anywhere in Majorca are usually Ultegra compact or triples. So good quality.Always check your tyres though as we've had a couple with 'well worn' ones at times with it being the back end of the season. Also we've learned to take our own spare tubes. They all supply them but charge you 5 euros for them if you've punctured one.

Yes, I have a while back.

They have pretty good Stevens (German) carbon bikes now with Ultegra Di2.

They're not the friendliest or the cheapest, but they're quite convenient.
