Tacx Genius question

Hello, do you need to connect the Tacx Genius turbo trainer to a PC in order to use it, or can it be used as a normal turbo trainer on it's own?

Are Tacx still not Macbook compatible?

    My father in law has a Tacx Genius turbo trainer, and it came with a wireless USB dongle you plug into the computer. This allows it to feed all the data to and from the computer.

    Whether it works with Mac's we can not comment, as he is on a PC.

    Can he use it without the PC or does the PC control the braking effect / resistance of the turbo trainer?
