Preparing for winter

Sorry to mention it, but winter feels to be closing in so trying to prepare myself.
I'm after some full length mud guards that don't require eyelets. Not entirely sure if my bike will even take guards - it's a 2010 Boardman Comp if anyone can help?
Also looking for some lights, mainly for daytime winter riding as last year I felt a bit vulnerable in the very worst of the weather. Would also be used for commuting in pitch black and ideally be easily removed/added.
Lastly I'm after some waterproof/windproof over shoes.
All recommendations welcome.

crud road racer 2 - but put some protective tape on the frame otherwise the mounting brackets & elastic rubs.
back - Knog blinder, add a second if you're going to be out in the dark, front - I like the cateye lights - either the nanoshot+ or the volt700 or 1200 - depending on your cycling area - again, a secondary seeme light is handy in case of primary failure in the dark.
BBB overshoes - cheap, chearful and do the job.0
