Faulty Fulcrum Racing 5's?

Evening All,

I took delivery of some Fulcrum Racing 5's today to use as winter training wheels and when I went to assemble the tube and tyre to the rear rim I notice that the valve hole is offset. I have asked a few mates with other Fulcrum wheels and the feeling is mine are faulty however none have the Racing 5's. It appears the drilling has cut some of the sidewall of the rim away which I am surprised by as Fulcrum quality is said to be pretty good so this is either one in a million or by design. Anyone help me out with an answer? Picture at link below (sorry I can never seem to upload pictures)

It's normal. It's the rim profile that is offset, the valve actually sits in the centre. No worries

Thanks Ugo. Put's my mind at ease. It just didn't look right to me.

    Thanks again

As above. The rims are CNC machined - it wouldn't be a one-off error.

It's ruined the look which lets face it is the only reason I bought deep dish wheels. At least now I have another option for winter rides. Will try them out tonight and get the carbons back on there until I need to swap for the turning weather...
