Inspired by the bargains thread in Commuting Chat and below thread on when to get the best discounts on bikes, I thought I would start one where all bike bargains can be viewed together and discussion of them can take place.

http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40042&t=12980062

I propose the following structure using an example I am tempted by:

Manufacturer: Felt
Model: 2014 F75
Price: £599
Pros: 105 drivetrain, Felt's "top end" alu frame, choice of colour
Cons: (racy geometry)
Link: http://www.merlincycles.com/felt-f75-road-bike-2014-71825.html

Hopefully this can be a useful resource for those seeking a new bike.

    Great idea!

I'm after a bargain relaxed geometry winter bike, alu. I'm looking for boardman alu teams but they seem to be going for a lot on eBay and none in the south

I saw a nice Boardman team frameset in white on Ebay for a decent price this evening, if you fancy a home build?

    It's a winter bike - it's supposed to be heavy :)

    Manufacturer: Canyon
Model: 2014 Ultimate AL SLX Frameset
    Price: £567
Pros: Top end aluminium frame, perfect for racing/fast training rides.

Canyon Ultimate AL SLX framset for £567. Still available in small, medium and 3XL. This is the price a frame like this should be, not like the £800 you need for a CAAD10 frameset or an Allez E5.

If your size £600 off plus £190 back to spend in their shop. A hell of a lot of bike for the money.
