mavic crossride

hi all can any one tell me how I determine witch wheel I would require im looking at mavic crossrides I can get adapters to reduce to standard qr but on chain reaction it asks what size I require how do I find witch one I need the two sizes are as follows 15mm Front & QR 135mmRear

15mm Front & 142 x 12mm Rear

    don't understand the 135 or 142 widths. as I ride road bikes the wheels are all the same width
  • 142/12mm width is for use with maxle system.

    135mm QR width is for a standard quick release system.

    not like road bikes why so complicated. keep it simple

    You need the QR135.
    Mountain bikes have various standards for different uses.
    135 QR is nice and light, good for xc bikes. 150x12 is heavy but very stiff and good for downhill bikes.
    142x12 is a good compromise for trail or enduro bikes and there's also 135x12.

    Road bikes have had two different width rears, it's called evolution.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
