Cervelo S2 105 ?????

Hi guys
I'm rather taken with the Cervelo S2 I've seen on sale at Edinburgh Cycle Co-Op. It's reduced to £1599.00 so seems a bit of a bargain.
I'm currently on a Specialized Allez (no carbon bits) and although it's served me well I'm hankering after an upgrade before I have to start saving for the wedding!
Due to time constraints I'm usually out doing 25-35 mile runs ... May sneak a few longer down the road??
I'm pretty garbage on hills so would probably change 11-25 to 11-28 ??
At £1599 it leaves me £400 ish to replace the stock wheels with something a little better .... kyrsiums seem fave at the mo?
Before I saw this I was looking at the new Cervelo R2 as the R's are supposedly more comfortable. The S won't kill me though will it?!?!? If I go R2 the wheel upgrade has to wait.
Does this sound like a plan? Or am I being seduced by the name and looks?

Still thinking of something clever to say!

Isn't that the most important bit...?
When you park your bike in the garage, just before you close the door, you stop and look at your bike and think 'Yip, that's mine' and go indoors with a big grin.0 -
I know of a few people who use S2's as their everyday bikes and it seems they get along fine. Being a new R3 owner I can definitely see your attraction to Cervelos (especially the s2) they're very cool looking IMO, and obviously I can only speak for myself here but they seem to be a lot less common than other brands such as giant, trek, specialised etc. around my area!0

As far as I know the S2/S3 have the same geometry as the R series bikes. I think its looks really nice. They do have a habit of really dull paint jobs though. Or maybe classic. Anyway nice bike and decent price.0

Thanks guys .... It's the half red, half black one ... Think it looks suitably cool
I had a sit on the S3 recently in a 56 and it just felt right so I think I may have to pop down tomorrow and get the ball rolling.Still thinking of something clever to say!0 -
Just I thought, Why don't you look in to the Boardman Air? I think It looks the same somehow (cause I have one).0
