What size bolts for my stem?

Mine are getting a bit rusty and unsightly. I want to replace these with some new stainless ones. Are they all a standard size?

Mine is a generic Specialized stem that came with the bike and is about 4 years old, so nothing too obscure.

No they are not a standard size.

  • My Specialized stem uses M4 at the front on the handlebar clamp and M5 on the steerer.

Which has to be a little weird.

If you're going to replace them, might he worth a couple of quid extra upgrading to titanium.
