best 'on the fly' compression adjustment

Hi guys,
I've decided to change out the DHX5 to something with compression damping that is easier to adjust than the propedal. The Moment is quite prone to pedal bob and it really does need some kind of compression damping to get the most out of it, and these days I'm finding myself perpetually stopping to adjust it to the trail.
I would prefer a remote lever like the Float or Float X but it's more expensive than an RS. Is the compression damping lever on a RS Monarch Plus RC3 comparable to Fox's propedal? Is there an alternative with very easily accessible compression damping for on-the-fly adjustment (and doesn't take a dozen full turns to go from max to min)?
Cheers

the 2014 monarch compression adjusment is stiffer than the RP23 in the same tune guide. In the pedal setting my old monarch would hardly compress much0

I would have a Monarch over a Float. Depending on your frames shock position the lever is easy to use on the move.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

effective compression damping and easy to reach lever? That's up my street. I believe the CTD shocks allow you to adjust the T setting a further three positions affectively giving it 5? How does the Monarch compare to the adjustment range?0

monarch only has 3 but then the float really only has 3 as well since the trail adjust wouldn't be able to be adjusted on the fly.0

its used to increase low speed compression/rebound for certain types of climb. My bike is pretty good with pedal bob and I really only use the CS on the road. The monarch is got much more compression added to it but that obviously causes an issue when climbing over roots as it won't react to the bump as well. what size is your current shock?0

200x57. I just noticed CRC have now sold out in my size, but TF stock it. There are no Monarchs in my size until November unfortunately. So it's either an inline or a CTD. The Ellsworth is quite prone to bob which needs managing on any climb and it's just not suitable trying to do a dozen turns of my current propedal dial mid trail. I'm tempted to try an Inline though0

I know of a very good condition rp23 going in that size - about a year old, not used very much and pretty cheap if you are interested.0

No thanks, I'm going to treat the Moment to a modern shock.0
