Live starts at 3pm in the UK.
Vattenfall is live elsewhere and looks likely to run well beyond 3-45pm.
A few sprinters missing from that list."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Boonen says he wants to test himself in a few sprints. Suggests he won't be contesting all of them. It's his first grand tour since 2011. He hasn't finished one since 2007 :shock:0
-
And Sagan says he's not their chosen sprinter either.
Ruddy Scalectrix still on the TV0 -
65kms to go in Hamburg................

Shock indeed.Contador is the Greatest0 -
That's it. I'm not going to watch any Vuelta this year. I refuse to watch a race without a distance ticker.
Genuinely.0 -

So he is lazy?!Contador is the Greatest0

Tom? Lazy?
Certainly not! Why, his every wakened hour is filled with his caring towards the fairer sex.
Well, something like that.0 -

You what? TV2 has a distance ticker and time gap on it.

Gordon Bennett, this is dull.

FdJ's team time trial was today! (sort of - bit unstructured) and a good strategy - one rider managed to re-gain the front at the critical time going into the last bend ?Soupe after Fischer? had done a long pull. Not a boring lead out train 1km each - it's a bit haphazard but Bouhanni seems to have the drive and desire
Madiot must be scratching his head a bit - although not seen Bouhanni live with Kittel , Cavendish Greipel, Kristoff etc - Demare's tour didn't go so well - although he is a year younger than Bouhanni - and has classics potential
cracking scenery - spanish camargue0 -
Bouhanni racking up the GT stage wins.
Possible echelons failed to materialize.
A siesta stage.
Valverde gets the GC lead on just stage 2.
Let the in fighting commence, when Quintana sees the team being forced to hold onto the jersey, for 3 weeks."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

I'm sure it's Qunitana's race but there seems to be quite a few Valverde friendly stages before we hit the mountains. Will be interesting if he goes up the road and Qunitana is forced to watch.0 -

So this post isn't actually about the race or stage, either.
The fact that this forum is way too UK centric (as opposed to race) for it's own good is often hard to miss."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
While I agree with the sentiment, how much is there to say about an opening stage up and down a motorway to be contested, fairly unremarkably, by a bunch of second string sprinters?0

Nacer would like a word...
I don't think there's much wrong with this place when there's great racing to discuss: 85 corrugated pages for a Tour spoiler. When the home team behave like Rocky Horror characters off the bike, it's only natural that national foibles come to the fore....a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. A poster boy for the community.0 -
Bertie is already in trouble, fitness wise, apparently:
