Been doing a bit of internet window shopping as I am thinking of going back to a full susser. I am looking for a 29er FS frameset as I already have all the good quality components I need apart from the metal/plastic bit that holds them all together.

I have been surprised at how rare a decent frameset is apart from the boutique £2,500 and up variety. Am I imagining it or did most manufacturers used to sell framesets as long as you didnt mind a lack of choice over the colour. I have even noticed a few manufacturers websites that have a frameset in its product list but dont actually have the option to buy it or dont import it into Britain.

Looking for something not too heavy, quickish steering, 100 to 120mm rear travel with a tapered headtube. I prefer threaded BB but its not a deal breaker if it has crappy pressfit. Budget is £1500 but could stretch to £2,000 absolute max.
