It's nice and quick but can be a bit too tail happy.I switch to an ardent on the rear when things get more soggy. for my riding a 2.5 would be complete overkill.

To be honest they're not actually that big for a 2.5, the new 2.3s would probably have been the better option but they weren't out at the time. With an all up weight of 100kg I do appreciate the extra volume over the old 2.35s Dhfs, will defo give the Ardent a go on the rear.

Looks like its coming along nicely although you could of picked a better time of the year to buy a new bike.

I'm almost done thinking and need to bite the bullet and get a new Orange Five. Borrowing my next dor neighbours Five at the moment and loving it. It's a bit on the big side for me at 20", I need the medium 17" (5' 9" with 29" inside leg).

Not sure what colour to get. What colour is this? Is it the Neon Green or the other one?

I'm torn between a bright colour and something more conservative.

This is Apple green, orange do some really nice colours deep purple is stunning in the flesh as is the sterling silver which is my favourite looks like a raw polished frame in certain lights.

Few changes for the five -

50mm hope stem to replace the Thomson 70mm which has been donated to the blue pig



Hope tech 3 e4 brakes replace the XTs and reduce the weight slightly and also get donated to the pig:D
A bargain from winstanleys at just over 100 quid each.


Resisting buying a hope crank but I dont know how long that will last.....

They do look great don't they and love your mates bike too.
If I do go for them i would want the spiderless version and ring which isn't out yet. However i am still drawn to the race face next SL cranks to go with the carbon wheels and bar.
