So my Felt AR5 frame has just been replaced by an AR1 frame under warranty.

The AR5 was fitted with mechanical ultegra but the AR1 frame is DI2 ready so what would I need to do a conversion.
I've seen complete groupset but I don't need all that.

Of the top of my head

Battery,
Frt mech
Rear mech
Left and right shifter
Cables??????

Not seen or used DI2 before so totally in the dark.
Going to you tube and need to pop to lbs to get headset fitted so will talk to them as well.
But any advise on here would be good.

You'll also need junction box A, junction box B and the battery charger. You'll need x4 SD50 cables which will need to be bought in the correct lengths for your bike. Budget for replacing brake cables, as you might as well do it at the same time.

Link to thread, I think. Bottom bracket shell de bonded from the frame.

Think I may have to stay mechanical, just don't have the cash for the upgrade kit.

    Bit pointless asking then. :|

Not really as I knew roughly a price for the groupset.
I knew I didn't need all the kit so I thought it might be achievable.

As I said in the opening post I needed to do more research and this thread was part of that.

You can buy it as a kit from Merlin, without the ironware. Give them a call. Budget for about £700.

    Cheers Bar Shaker,

Problem is I need a new wheelset and this would be a nice to have.
Think it might have to go on the backburner for now.
