Computer vs app accuracy

Hi,
Got a cannondale computer for my bike, nice little bit of kit. However after going on a 12 mile ride and setting my cycle meter to start as well there was a couple of differences.
1. The time differed by around a minute.... Strange.
2. Calories, this differed by around 150-200 calories.
I've set the wheel size up correctly and distance was about dead on so just wondering which I should be considering as more accurate as the computer knows my age, gender and weight.
Cheers!

Time difference is not unusual when comparing an app to a computer. In general, calorie estimates are famous for being entirely fictional, so I would ignore those either way.0

+1 on the KCal thing, utter horlicks
You can get estimates from websites like the Bicycling one, where you put in weight, distance/time, average speed and it gives you the Calorie count
As for accuracy, guess part of it is how well you set up your 'puter. There may also be differences between what counts as 'moving' e.g. walking bike out of the garage, etc. may not be equally counted
Great question, BTW
It's just a hill. Get over it.0
