Shimano 6870 Di2 satellite shifters
Hi guys and gals,
I'm going to build up a bike with 6870 Di2 and I've got a question regarding the satellite sprint and climbing shifters. I want to run both the sprint and climbing shifters and as far as I'm aware, I'll only need a 3-port junction box as the additional satellites plug into the main shifters and the 5-port box is only required if you want to run bar-end TT shifters.
Can somebody please confirm if my thinking is correct?
Cheers,
Den

I'm pretty sure that's correct. 3 ports on my 6870 STI levers.0

Yes there is a spare port in each shifter for satellites.
Set up your shifters in paddle shift mode and you don't need sprint shift buttons.Boardman Elite SLR 9.2S

You could stick the new buttons on an accessible part of the inside of the shifter... and pretend you have EPS.Boardman Elite SLR 9.2S
