650b frame build - Maxles?

Folks
As some know I've recently bought a full suss 650b Rose which I am veryhappy with.
I am looking to build ahardtail 650b 1x10 winter hack and would like the wheels/tyres etc to be interchangeable to avoid the inevitable kit build up in my garage.
I contacted On One but the DT swiss M1900 maxle wheels of my Rose aren't compatible with the 45650B Steel frame in their range:
'The rear Maxle wheels won't work. You'll need a conventional quick release front and rear for this frame and those forks.'
Does anyone have any advice on a frame I could use for an build where the wheels etc are swappable? i.e. one which can accommodate the maxles of the DT swiss style wheels. Preferably steel, but interchangeability is more of a priority than material.
In advance my thanks

mega will check them out, but I don't understand how this ^^ works practically, can you explain to me how I combine maxle with QR axle?
Cheers!!

They're not QR axles, they have a 142x12 rear end iirc0

The On One frame has 135mm rear axle spacing (for 9mm QR axles), that's why it won't work.
All you need to do is find a frame that can take a 12x145mm thru axle.
I'd seriously consider the Bird Zero too. It even comes with an axle so you can leave the DT Swiss one on your RoseCurrent:

I have done the same as you with my Remedy using the stock wheels as a winter set and doing a Hardtail build with them.
Used the Bird Zero frame which they supply with a 12mm Shimano axle and works with 142/12mm hubs.
See link of the build below.

Ah that's exactly what I want to do!
Any other options than the bird? It looks ideal, but always good to compare & contrast.
Ben, I will be driving past for work in the next few months I will pop in to discuss.0 -
