Cheap Autumn/Winter Ride

Hi Guys,
Been searching for a cheap autumn/winter ride...
Only want to spend £200-£300 tops, was going to use my Hybrid, but figure since starting with Road Drop Bars, may as well stay with them through the Autumn/Winter, being more ready for next season than ever.
Need the usual, space for Mud Guards, 25/28 Tyres, simple.
I am not one for sitting at home banging out the miles in the living room, rather be out in the wet/cold seeing the different seasons for myself.
Any help appreciated....

If your handy they look at a cheap steel or 2nd hand frame and build up yourself if you can't find one in the classifieds.Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0

Me either but I bought a £200 frame and my LBS where doing some work to my summer/race bike and built the winter bike for very little extra from a selection of 2nd parts from the summer bike/EBay purchases.Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0
