Having recently broken a few fingers im keen to get some MTB gloves with a bit more protection for knuckles and fingers. Im looking at these Rock garden Fate carbon gloveshttp://www.chainreactioncycles.com/rockgardn-fate-carbon-gloves-2013/rp-prod64531 but they are quiet haevy and very DH orientated.
Can anyone recommend some good gloves with some hard protection built in but not a full on DH glove.
Cheers

Do you think a glove with protection would have prevented you breaking your fingers?
These Fox gloves look a bit less burly, but as you've found out yourself, most do tend to be DH orientated.

I've got the gloves the OP linked to. They are heavy, I use them mainly for uplifts. They won't stop you breaking a finger, they might help if a rock flips up at you.
Carbon bits though!0 -
I've got a pair of Fox Bombers:

Not too heavy and proper knuckle duster type knuckle protection. Like Mcnulty says, there isn't anything that will stop you breaking a finger - and be able to operate the gears and brakes."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0
