I have been riding for a year and looking to upgrade to a better bike. Interested in buying the above bike, no test rides available! I currently ride a Felt z95 size 58. Looking at the bmc size guide it recommends a size 60 but looking at the geometry i think a size 57 would be a better fit and the size 60 would be way too big for me. It's the reach that worries me, looks very long? However I am no expert on bike geometry and sizing and could be completely wrong. Would appreciate whatever insights or opinions you may have! I am 186cm tall with inseam of 87.5 cm. Also my Felt has a 110mm stem whereas the bmc size 57 has 120mm and size 60 130mm.

If it's any help, I plugged my measurements into the Competitive Cyclist calculator and it put me right between a 49 and a 51 in the old SLC01 ProMachine.
I did ride both sizes and went for the 51 cos it felt more comfortable but actually with hindsight the 49 might have been a better choice (or maybe a bike with a different geometry).
I've had to put a much shorter stem on. The general wisdom is, I believe, if in doubt go for the smaller frame.
Suppose the problem is, if the 57 frame already has a pretty long stem then you might not have anywhere to go if you need more reach.

the 57 should be a better fit. They offer a fair bit of adjustability on the saddle fore and aft with these. you should have no problem with it though some sizes may be in short supply.

    Hi!
I have 183 cm, 89 inseam and went with size 54. I have tried both sizes but 54 was just a better fit.
    Hope that helps somehow.

Thanks for all the replies much appreciated, interesting that you got 54 the as bmc site recommends a 60.
