Forearm protection

Not sure if it sounds a bit wussy bit meh, yesterday I didn't a fair amount of single track, loved it but now my forearms look like it's been attacked by angry cats from diving though brambles etc. Any suggestions of light forearm protection? I've been at work for a half hour and had three people ask me when I got a cat so far.

I used to use them but decided that the gravel rash is more comfortable.

My forearms and shins are the same but would rather this than some protections which is just going to make me sweat more and become uncomfortable.
