Hi I have a 9/27 speed racer and am sick of my wheels falling apart so am looking to upgrade and have found a pair of Fulcrum Racing Quattro wheels at a good price but in the description it says:
" Is a campagnolo freehub but the wheels together with a campagnolo 11 speed cassette will Work with shimano 11 speed drivetrain as cassette spacing is the same you will obviously still need a campagnolo compatible cassette."
I find this a little confusing. I have a pair of Shimano R500 and my question is can I not just take the free hub body of my old rear wheel and put it onto this wheel? I have taken my wheels apart before and am happy to do all my own work but am new to this and am unsure what's what.

Ok thanks, I thought there might be some kind of universal fit but it sound like that's not the case.0

There was universal fit up to 1990, give or take... you are a quarter of a century late, I'm afraid...left the forum March 20230

The Quatro has the same hub as a Racing 3 (17mm) - you'll need to get one of these:

Not cheap but you could try and find a 'swap' with someone trying to do the opposite.0
