Hi guys, after weeks of looking for a new bike I have managed to narrow it down to the following. Which would you recommend for the best bike for the money. I am relatively fit and currently do mainly cross country mountain biking on a giant anthem (which is fairly aggressive geometry wise for a mtb)

Before someone does it. HE HAS SHORTLISTED ALREADY!! so don't come out with random bikes ffs.
Anyway, OP - I would seriously just try and sit on at least a few of them before hand as you can never really tell how a bike will be from looking at it on a web page.
On the list though, I would say the TCR looks the best option0 -
Seems an odd shortlist to me.
Not sure what 'composite' means but guessing its not aluminium.
Just decide if frame material or groupset is more important to you and then pick the one you like the look of most.
To me a shortlist like that means you should up the budget and get a carbon 105/Ultegra bike.0 -

That would certainly be my first choice from the list. The Defy Composite would be second.
But get what you most like the look of.Giant TCR Advanced II - Reviewed on my homepage
Giant TCR Alliance Zero
BMC teammachineSLR03
The Departed
Giant SCR2
Canyon Roadlite
Specialized Allez
Some other junk...0 -
+1 Giant compositeFacts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0
