Hi. I'm needing to replace my pivot bearings and would like to go Hope bound. Does anyone know what if at all, the Hope equivalent of 6900 RS is and where I could find some.

many thanks
Dave.

According to the hope website their bearings are sourced from INA bearings.
I've used these guys in the past and they are quite reasonable.

Enduro bearings are best for pivots. They only turn a few degrees so having a bearing with a full compliment of balls rather than less balls in a cage means much better wear rates.
Any good bearing shop can get them.
Hope just use standard bearings, I forget which brand but they're standard quality, nothing special.

Why not phone your nearest bearing wholesaler 6800s are 6800s. I got a bag of 12 for £5 a few years ago OK they're not the very best but they fit and work fine.

Expensive bearings are rated up to 25,000 rpm and beyond whereas the very worst of the worst will be rated at several 1000 rpm. Loadings are often the same within a few fractions of a kN. For wheel bearings then maybe it's worth looking at a better quality bearing but for pivot bearings hmm...
