Looking to change from Sram Red to Dura Ace Di2

Is the new 7090 10 speed compatible?

Thanks

In what way? Are you hoping to be able only to swap your mechs and shifters, so you still have 10 speed cassette and chain?

As far as I know, the answer is no.
    Red bikes are the fastest.

Yes want to keep 10 speed cassettes and only change derailleurs and shifters and keep my rotor cranks and praxis rings?

The cranks and praxis chain rings will be fine. However you won't be able to use the 10 speed cassette with 9070.

You can run a 10 sp rear mech with 9070, just run version 2.6 or earlier of the operating system. The rear mech controls how many shifts you have.

Search Carlton Bale Di2 for details.

So would it be a simpler job to switch wheels to 11 speed and if so will my wheels be compatible?
Do I need to change free hub pr simply remove a spacer? then get new cassettes?

It's very easy to get the 11 speed freehub body and swap that over if your Zipps have 10 speed only hubs.

Your Reynolds will likely be 11 speed compatible as Shimano and SRAM have been doing 11 speed for longer than 2 years.

I would go with 11sp Di2 if you can.

Is it a full hub replacement on the zipps or would it be just the freehub body?

I read that I may need to replace full axle and hub and re dish wheel but surely not?

I read that too last night. It's not good news and sorry for implying otherwise, above.

I am very surprised by this with Zipp and it is a warning for anyone considering buying an older set of their wheels.

No idea how much a replacement hub and re-dish would be, but it may let you replace the hub with something better, if it is starting to get worn.

So is another option to run 9070 and just adjust the limit screw so it just moves to to the '10th gear limit'? if you know what I mean.

The spacing between the cogs on 10 and 11 speed cassettes is different. So you will probably get some chain noise and skipping. Also you could potentially damage the rear derailleur's motor if you accidently shift into the 11th position it cannot go because of the '10th gear limit' stop.

    Yes I agree.

If the limit screw is set too low, the mech tries to drive against it for quite a while before giving up. I would be worried that this would lead to accelerated failure of the mech motor. It would also lead to the battery draining pretty quickly.

I would get a 10 speed rear mech off of eBay (less than £100) and swap that on when using your Zipps.

Just be sure to read the Carlton Bale website regarding software versions (<2.60), when setting both rear mechs up.
