Rido saddles

Having been an on-and-off sufferer of "numb-nuts" syndrome, I have been looking at saddles to try and alleviate this. Rido saddles seem to have pretty good right-ups, especially for their Rlt saddles for road-bikes, which I intend to order for my Cannondale CAAD8. However for my Scott Spark, I was wondering if it is worth getting this saddle too, or possibly the Rido R2 saddle, which is a more comfort/touring based design? The numbing sensation is not as severe on the MTB, but it can crop up, along with arse-ache after longer rides. I'm not a racer or downhiller, just a XC rider for the pleasure and fitness. Anyone tried the R2 on their MTB? Opinions?

Unless we're talking about something like Charge Spoons I'd skip the trial and error and find an LBS, or two, that offers demo saddles. SDG, Fizik and Specialized do them, and probably a few others. It's how I found my current saddle.

After an hour on my Cannondale, I couldn't tell what state my balls were in, lumpy or otherwise. :?

What saddles are you on now?

Not sure about Cannondale's but the Giant Saddles on their Rincons are the work of a devil or a gynaecologist after more work, they are awful, I use an old Carrera saddle on the Giant rental bikes I use!

I'm on the standard Cannondale saddle which came with the bike, and I still use the Scott saddle on my Spark.

Have you played with the saddle angle? I had numb nuts all day Saturday (big ride) - 2 turns on the bolts to tilt the saddle forward and Sunday was a whole different ball game... pun intended.

The R2 has quite a wide back, it made getting off the back of the saddle on steep downhill sections very difficult.

If I was to get any Rido saddle at all it would be the road one.

That's kind of what I was thinking. As I said, I've ordered the Rlt for my road bike; if I'm happy with it, I'll get one for the MTB as well.
