Hello, I am trying to remove the pads from my Quad Dime XC brake calliper but can't get the dam pads out. There isn't a retaining clip or spring to remove and they appear it be held in place by a magnet. I have pushed the pads all the way back into the housing but the pads still won't come out when you grip the small lug with pliers. The only other way i can see it remove a back back plate with a large star bit but I would assume that all the hydraulic fluid would come out. I have searched the usual suspects "you tube and google" but can't find anything. I appreciate that there not the most popular brakes in the world but they do a top job for me. Can some one help? Thanks

As you say, removing that plug will spill fluid everywhere.

Use a screwdriver to lever them half way out then grip with needle nose pliers and remove, you won't get bull nosed in.
