I'm in the process of building my training bike. I've got a sram red bb30 chain set that I want to know if it will fit or not.
I'm wondering if i can use a rotor or race face bsa30 bottom bracket on my frame or will the spindle be too short.
A simple yes or no answer will suffice.

  • I think it depends on the year of the red bb30 chainset. If it's an early one I think the spindle would be too short

I don't think so as BB30 30mm cranks are narrower (68mm wide) than BSA 24mm cranks (86mm wide). Rotor get away with it by making a clever 30mm diameter 86mm wide crank and bit like FSA BB386 (30mm x 86mm).

How to make a simple question difficult.
Ask 3 questions, don't use question marks and ask for a yes no answer!

    No,No,Yes.
