Started today. Always a nice little mountain stage race. Although, no Grand Colombiere this year! Still. Couple of uphill finishes.
Decent startlist: Bardet, Peraud, Uran, Cav, Alaphilippe, Elisonde, Berhane, Slagter, Dan Martin

A 1, 2, 3, 4 for OPQS in the prologue, won by Meersman

Yeah it is a cracking startlist. Shame they have removed the Colombiere - I have been up there in person when the Tour de l'Ain used it a few years ago and it shattered the field.

Nice win by him. Yet another Dutch wonder coming out of Rabobank...wonder if he will fail like most or progress like few. Finally Martin shows some form.

He already was a pro at Vacansoleil for some years. Dont think he's really that young.

Lindeman was the last left of a breakaway, holding off a chasing Bardet. So no new unknown talent riding away from Tour de France stars. Still a good win

Ah fair enough. Rabo development team so assumed that would be very new riders.

    Craven finished 30mins down...

All bar one of Team Col riding the back end of the results on a mountain stage. Again.

    Uran 6 mins adrift.

Bardet actually 1.5 mins ahead of third place which is excellent. He got this advantage as he attacked on the penultimate climb solo to chase the leaders.

Rest of the results show some carnage. Would have been a good stage to watch. The peloton gave the break 8mins and struggled to bring it back so they had to go really hard and it broke up a lot.

Sicard, Alaphilippe and Elissonde reasonably well placed.

My boy Alaphilippe wins the stage. BOOM. Neo pro and given free reign to light it up.

    Lind wins overall.

Bardet attacked 30km from the finish and had martin, sicard and alaphillipe for company. Martin doing well just before the Vuelta. Would have been great to watch.

Happy to be on podium @tourdelain but sorry for @romainbardet Rode a great race to win GC except for questionable tactics from other teams

FDJ I think were being idiots about chasing on the stage where the dutch guy got all his time.

Bardet really wanted it and he attacked several times from distance.
