Hi,

When postioning cycling shoe/cleats what's the average distance between the inside of shoe and the rear part of the frame?.

Pedal stance is highly personal, so there is no meaningful average so to speak. Essentially, if it's comfy and works for you then it's right.

Whatever works fir you really unless your foot keeps catching the frame. Few people have both feet perfectly straight.

Cleat positioning is more about avoiding wear and tear on your knees/ankles etc than keeping a set distance from the frame. If the comfortable position means you are knocking the frame then you must be hen toed, bow legged or similar.

I've put pedal extenders on my bikes to stop my heels rubbing chainstays.
