Picked up a GoPro at the weekend and took it for a spin around Llandegla, North Wales. Turned out to be a pretty scrappy ride with a few pedal strikes and mistakes. Don't think I got the chest mount camera angle quite right (a bit too high, especially when seated). Oh, and I forgot my gloves!

How do you get the info on the video footage?Specialized Camber Expert
Specialized Allez Sport0 -
No backing music...?0

The info was overlaid using Garmin's Virb Edit software (http://www.garmin.com/en-US/shop/downloads/virb-edit) using the GPS/Sensor data from an Edge 800. I wonder if a GPX exported from Strava/Endomondo would also work.
Regarding backing music, I couldn't decide what was worse: GoPro clicking and creaking, or subjecting viewers to my taste in music! It was a quick edit, but I'll probably consider adding music in the future.0 -
No, I thought it was quite refreshing to see a video without some sort of backing music...
I must try that overlay too, it's very cool.0 -
Nice vid, I'm glad there was no backing music, I just end up turning the volume down most of the time as I hate being forced to listen to someones crap music taste.0

I used Motorhead on my last vid - not sure why, I turn it down too. :?0

Looks like a great fun trail but a bit more speed and air would be good though.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Much prefer to listen to the tyres as opposed to some dodgy song
Really like Llandegla good trail0 -
good work fella, loving the GPS data and i think the camera position is fine as it replicates where i would be looking on the trail. you don't want it any lower or viewers will forever be trying to look 'up' beyond the top of the screen.
trail looks great fun too. No gloves?FCN = 40 -
position is pretty good - I recently got a sony AS30 and it has GPS built in but its not the most reliable which is a shame cause its nice to show how fast you are going as videos always appear slower.
I put music over my first try with the camera, first track was too quiet while the second one was too loud0 -
