What pedals Shimano M530 or M520

I am buying my first pair of shoes Shimano MT43 MTB SPD however not decided on pedals as of yet.

I have seen Shimano M530 or M520 however ideally i would like a set where i have the option to wear normal shoes also, however 90% of the time it will be with cleats so any suggestions?

    Xpeedo do a decent double sided pedal with SPD/flats my daughter used them on her commuter at Uni for just the reason you gave.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
