Hi guys

Looking at buying a decent hard tail. Looking at spending £1300-£1500

I have seen the following bikes and would appreciate your feedback.

1. Kona explosif 2014
2. Whyte 905 2014 £1500
3. Genesis high Latitude Frame and would build up
4. Ragley Marley from chain reaction cycles

Any thoughts on which option would be best? I am planning to do both xc/hard tail

    I cant be bothered to search each bike and review the spec for you but building your own from a bare spec is very satisfying and teaches you a lot of basic maintenance.

    If you post links to each bike people can have a quick look.

    Best to visit a good local bike shop and have a look. A good bike is how it looks, how it rides, the spec and the price. Checkout the current sales to get good prices on new bikes or for an even better deal try second hand.

    I'd actually say a good bike is one that rides well for the price you want to pay - looks and spec should be secondary considerations to the ride.
